When I got my first DSLR a couple of years ago, I was completely confused by all of the terminology: f-stop, field of depth, focal length….argh!  I read a couple of books, which helped a little, but I was still struggling with how to take the photos I wanted. So I decided to enrol on a one-day photography course.  And here are some of the results!  I had a brilliant day; being able to play around with my camera, under proper supervision, really boosted my confidence and I think I got some pretty good pictures out of it. Now that I’m sharing my photos regularly, I’ve decided to do a couple of workshops over the autumn so be prepared to see a lot of practice shots in the coming weeks! Have you ever done a photo workshop?  Did it help?  What are your top photography tips for beginners?
